2013 Acura ZDX

best car 2013 Acura ZDX

The 2013 Acura ZDX ranks 12 out of 19 Luxury Midsize SUVs. This ranking is based on our analysis of 27 published reviews and test drives of the Acura ZDX, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.

With its unique styling, reviewers say the 2013 Acura ZDX stands out in the crowd and is fairly pleasing to drive, but offers little in the way of utility.

Most reviewers say the Acura ZDX is a decent-performing crossover, thanks to its standard V6 engine and Acura’s Super-Handling all-wheel drive, which is also standard. They say it has enough power for most situations, and like its smooth-shifting automatic transmission. The SH-AWD system provides lots of grip which reviewers say helps the ZDX handle corners well. At 16/23 mpg city/highway, the ZDX’s fuel economy is mediocre at best.

Reviewers say the ZDX’s cabin is richly-appointed, with high-quality materials that are soft to the touch. While initially overwhelmed by the number of buttons that adorn the center stack, most find they’re fairly easy to learn. The ZDX comes only as one well-equipped trim, which includes standard leather seats with front heating and cooling, navigation and GPS-based climate control. However, reviewers say the ZDX offers little in the way of practicality. They find that the back seat is short on headroom and overall space, thanks to its styling. The body style also bites into overall cargo space, which isn’t particularly good for the class. Reviewers are thankful that the ZDX also comes standard with a backup camera, as most note that rear visibility is awful.
